Home manicure and pedicure service in Bangkok

From a quick tidy to a full a full manicure or pedicure, Home Visit Beauty is a mobile beauty service in Bangkok that brings professional nail care to your hotel room, condo or home, with a foot and hair oil massage add-on if you want one.

How much do nails cost in Bangkok?

Bangkok has one of the widest nail markets anywhere, running from small neighbourhood shops to studio specialists in Thonglor charging many times more for the same shape and polish. Two of the four questions Google surfaces on this topic are about price, which tells you how confusing that spread is.

What moves the number is straightforward:

  • Manicure, pedicure or both. A combo is less than the two booked separately because we work your hands while your feet soak.
  • Regular polish or gel. Gel takes longer to apply and cure, and needs removal at the other end.
  • Whether old gel needs removing before we start. That is a real fifteen to twenty minutes, so it changes the booking.
  • Add-ons such as the foot or hair oil massage.

What does not move it is where you are staying. No call-out fee, no hotel surcharge, no minimum spend anywhere in our Bangkok service area. Message us on WhatsApp with what you want and we send the full quote back.

How a pedicure works without a salon foot spa

The reasonable question about a home pedicure: a salon has a plumbed footbath, your hotel room does not. Here is exactly how it works, because it is the thing people hesitate over.

  1. We bring a collapsible basin and a fresh disposable liner for it. The liner is new for every client and goes in our waste bag afterwards, not yours.
  2. We fill it from your bathroom with warm water and a soak solution. Filling takes two minutes.
  3. You sit in a normal chair with the basin on a towel in front of you. A hotel desk chair or a lounge armchair is fine. We need roughly an arm’s length of floor.
  4. Soak, shape, cuticle work, exfoliate, polish, the same order as a salon.
  5. We empty the basin into your bath or shower, fold it flat and take it with us. Nothing is left behind and nothing goes in your bin.

The honest limitation: there is no massage chair and no jets. If the hydrotherapy is the part you actually want, a salon is the better booking. If you want the nail work done well without leaving your room, this is identical. We cover every district, including nail appointments in Sukhumvit.

Do you tip for a home nail appointment?

Google gets asked this often enough to show it as a suggested question, and nobody answers it, so: tipping is normal in Thailand but genuinely optional, and it is never expected for a home visit.

There is no tip jar, no card machine prompt and no front desk. Your therapist will not hint, and the price we quote on WhatsApp is the whole price. If you were pleased and would like to, rounding up or adding fifty to a hundred baht is the usual gesture in Bangkok. If you would rather not, that is completely normal and it changes nothing about how you are treated on the next booking.

Payment is cash on completion, in baht, once you are happy with the nails.

Manicure, pedicure, or both

A manicure, a pedicure and the two together differ on time, what is included and who they suit. The table compares them.

BookingBest for
Pedicure onlyAfter a long travel day or before a beach trip. The usual starting point
Manicure onlyA quick tidy or fresh polish before an event
Both togetherHands worked while feet soak, which is quicker than booking them separately

If you have never had a pedicure at home, the combo is the easiest introduction: one longer session, you stay put, both done.

In one district the pattern is specific enough to have its own page: manicure in Thonglor.

What the pedicure includes

Soak, nail shaping, cuticle work, hard-skin removal on the heel and ball, a foot and lower-leg massage, then polish if you want it. There is no plumbed foot spa in a hotel room, so we bring a basin and warm water — which is how it is done in most Bangkok salons anyway once you look behind the chair.

The best position is a chair with your feet on a towel on the floor, not the bed. A dining chair or desk chair works better than an armchair because the practitioner needs to reach your heel from below. Say if the room only has soft furniture and the setup will be planned around it.

What the manicure includes

Shape, cuticle work, buff, hand massage, then polish. Around 30 to 45 minutes depending on whether polish is going on and what is coming off first.

Do not remove old gel before we arrive. Picking or peeling gel takes the top layer of the nail plate with it, and that damage takes months to grow out. We remove it properly with acetone wraps, including gel or acrylic applied at another salon — tell us at booking, because removal adds time to the appointment.

Regular polish is touch-dry before the practitioner leaves and fully hard a couple of hours later; gel is cured under lamp and hard immediately. If you are going straight out, book gel.

When we will decline, and why that is the point

Nail work carries the highest infection risk of anything in this trade, because cuticle work breaks the seal between nail and skin. We will not work on a nail with a suspected fungal infection — visible thickening, yellowing or separation from the bed. Polishing over it traps moisture and makes it worse, and a practitioner who does it anyway is telling you something about their tools.

The same applies to broken skin, an infected hangnail or an unhealed cut on the hand or foot. Say so when you book and the appointment can be reshaped rather than turned away at the door. Everything that touches you is either single-use and opened in front of you, or sterilised between clients.

Gel: what we can and cannot do

Applying gel

We carry gel and cure it in the room. It takes longer than regular polish and it lasts two to three weeks rather than a few days, which is why it suits people mid-trip or with a wedding at the end of the week. Tell us when you book so we bring the right lamp and allow the time.

Removing old gel

Do not try to take it off before we arrive. Picking or peeling gel lifts the top layer of the nail plate with it, which is what causes the thin, bendy nails people blame on the gel itself. Removal is a proper job: acetone soak, wrap, wait, then gentle filing, and it takes fifteen to twenty minutes before the manicure even starts.

Just tell us it is there when you book. If we do not know, either the appointment overruns or the manicure gets rushed, and neither is a good outcome.

Foot and hair oil massage

The add-on that turns a nail appointment into a proper reset.

  • Foot oil massage, a short add-on. Eases tired feet after a day walking Bangkok. Pairs naturally with a pedicure.
  • Hair oil massage, a short add-on. Nourishes the scalp and conditions hair. Pairs naturally with a manicure.
  • Both adds roughly 25 to 30 minutes.

If this is your first home appointment, what to expect on a visit covers the setup, the timings and what we bring. This is a short beauty add-on, not a full-body massage, and we will say so rather than oversell it. Often booked alongside waxing at your hotel or home in the same visit.

Questions

Before you book

How much does it cost to get nails done in Bangkok?

Bangkok has a very wide nail market, from small neighbourhood shops to luxury studios in Thonglor and Sukhumvit. A home visit sits in the middle: you pay for the therapist’s time and the kit, not for a salon’s rent. Home Visit Beauty quotes in full on WhatsApp before booking. What changes the figure is the treatment rather than the travel: gel costs more than regular polish and removal of existing product adds time. Tell us what is currently on your nails as well as what you want, because removal is the step most often forgotten when comparing quotes.

Can I get a pedicure if I have toenail fungus?

No, and any salon that says yes is telling you something about its standards. Visible thickening, yellowing or separation of the nail from the bed needs a pharmacist or doctor, not polish. Covering it traps moisture against the nail and makes it worse, and the tools then have to be handled as contaminated. Say so when you book and the appointment can be reshaped around the unaffected nails rather than turned away at the door.

Can you remove gel or acrylic applied at another salon?

Yes. Tell us at booking because removal adds time to the appointment. Do not pick or peel it off beforehand: that takes the top layer of the nail plate with it and the damage takes months to grow out. We remove it with acetone wraps, which is slower and leaves the nail intact. This is the single most common piece of bad advice clients arrive with.

Do you tip in Bangkok for nails?

Tipping is normal but genuinely optional in Thailand, and never expected for a home visit. There is no tip jar and nobody will hint. If you were pleased and want to, rounding up or adding fifty to a hundred baht is the usual gesture. Declining changes nothing about the service. Nobody keeps a record of who tipped and it has no bearing on how you are treated next time. If you would rather show appreciation another way, a review or a recommendation is worth considerably more to a small mobile service than cash is.

Where can I get my nails done in Bangkok?

Almost anywhere, which is the difficulty. Options run from mall salons to studio specialists to booking apps. If you would rather not travel or work around a salon diary, Home Visit Beauty brings the full nail kit to your hotel room, condo or home across Bangkok instead. That also removes the drying problem: with regular polish you would normally be walking out of a salon with wet nails, whereas here you stay put. If you have plans straight afterwards, gel is the practical choice because it is fully hard when you stand up.

Is a home visit cheaper than a nail salon?

Not always, and it depends what you compare it with. A budget neighbourhood shop will usually be cheaper. Against a mid-range or luxury Bangkok salon a home visit is competitive, and you save the taxi both ways plus the waiting. There is no call-out fee inside our service area. The saving that is easy to miss is time rather than money: no travel, no waiting, and no second trip if the salon is running late. For anyone booking around a work day or a child’s nap, that is usually the deciding factor rather than the price.

Do you come to my hotel for nails?

Yes. Manicure, pedicure and foot care are all done in your own room, which suits a day with plans either side of it. Home Visit Beauty brings the full nail kit to your hotel, condo or home anywhere in Bangkok, including gel if you want it. Tools are sterilised between clients and single-use items are used where applicable. Nothing is left behind in your room. If you would prefer your own tools be used because of a skin condition or a strong preference, say so at booking and bring them out at the start.

How do you do a pedicure without a foot spa?

We bring a collapsible basin and fill it from your bathroom, which does the same job as a plumbed salon footbath. It is lined fresh for every client, emptied into your bath or shower afterwards, and packed away. You need a chair and about an arm’s length of floor. A bathroom nearby makes filling and emptying quicker but is not essential. Hotel rooms work without moving anything, and if you are in a small studio it is worth mentioning at booking so the setup is planned rather than worked out on arrival.

Do you do gel, and can you remove old gel?

Yes to both, but tell us when you book. Gel removal is a separate fifteen to twenty minute job of soaking and gentle filing, not something to pick off beforehand. If we do not know it is there, the appointment runs over or the manicure gets rushed. Picking gel off yourself beforehand is the one thing genuinely worth avoiding, because it takes the top layer of the nail with it and leaves a thin, flexible plate that struggles to hold the next application. Leaving it intact for proper removal is better even if it looks untidy.

Can I add a foot massage?

Yes, and it is a natural add-on. A fifteen minute foot oil massage after a pedicure eases the damage of a day walking Bangkok. There is a hair oil version that pairs with a manicure. Both together add roughly half an hour to the appointment. Say at booking rather than on the day if you want either, because the slot is scheduled to the treatments confirmed in advance and adding half an hour once the practitioner has arrived is not always possible. Pairing a manicure and pedicure in one visit saves more time again.
