Waxing
Waxing in Bangkok — At Your Hotel or Home
Professional waxing for women and men, delivered to your door with your choice of three premium waxes. Same-day slots across every Bangkok district.
You get the full price before anything is booked. No call-out fee inside our central service area; a travel fee further out is quoted up front.
Salon-quality waxing, wherever you are
One certified therapist, a portable kit, your room. Salon-quality within what a single practitioner can carry — which covers the treatment itself, and not a plumbed sink or a salon bed.
Home Visit Beauty is a mobile beauty across Bangkok providing Brazilian & Hollywood waxing, bikini, legs, arms, underarms, back and full-body waxing — for women and men — entirely in the privacy of your hotel room, condo or office. Staying at a hotel? See waxing at your hotel in Bangkok. No commute through Bangkok traffic, no waiting room.
How much does waxing cost in Bangkok?
The most common question we get, and the hardest one to answer with a single number. What you pay depends on the areas you book rather than on where you are staying — the price for a Brazilian in a Sukhumvit hotel is the same as in a Bang Na condo.
What changes the price
Four things change what a waxing appointment costs, and none of them is where you are in our core districts.
- Number of areas — a single area costs less than the sum of its parts in a package. Most people book two or three together.
- Women’s or men’s — men’s body waxing covers larger areas and coarser hair, so it takes longer.
- Wax type — RICA is the premium option; Aloevera and Honey sit below it.
- Full-body packages — priced as a package, not as a stack of individual areas.
What is included with a home visit
What does not change the price: travel. There is no call-out fee, no surcharge for hotels, and no minimum spend anywhere inside our Bangkok service area. The figure we quote on WhatsApp before your appointment is what you pay on the day, in cash, when we finish.
Message us on WhatsApp with the areas you want and we send back a full quote, usually within a few minutes.
What waxing we bring to you
Every treatment below is delivered in your own space, with the same kit and the same therapists. If you want the detail on any one of them, each has its own page.
Wax is the wrong choice on facial skin using retinoids, acids or acne medication — it lifts the top layer and that skin is already thinned. Threading does not touch the surface and is the safer tool there. Tell the practitioner what you are using rather than the category, because a prescription retinoid and a supermarket serum are different conversations.
Women’s waxing
Most requested: bikini, Brazilian and Hollywood waxing.
Men’s waxing
Discreet, professional body waxing for men. See the dedicated men’s waxing in Bangkok page for the full menu and what to expect.
Full body packages
Face waxing, and when to thread instead
Face waxing covers the upper lip, chin, sides, forehead and the fine hair along the jaw. It takes about fifteen minutes and the result is smoother than threading because wax lifts the very fine hair that a thread passes over.
Regrowth on the face shows sooner than on the body, usually around two to three weeks, because the hair is finer and there is nothing covering it.
Buttock waxing, and the discretion around it
Booked far more often than people assume, most commonly with a Brazilian or before a beach trip. The area is quick — around ten minutes — and the hair is usually fine.
It is draped throughout: only the section being worked is uncovered, and the practitioner works in short passes and tells you before each one. If you would rather have a female or male practitioner, say so when you book rather than on the day, because it decides who is assigned.
Which wax we use, and why it changes by area
There is no single right answer. The choice depends on the area, your skin reactivity, and hair coarseness. You can always switch on the day.
Most appointments use both — hard wax on the sensitive areas, strip wax on the large ones — and switching mid-session is normal rather than a change of plan. Not sure? Ask on WhatsApp and we suggest based on the area. Full detail on the three wax types.
| Wax | Best for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| RICA (Italian liposoluble) | Face, underarms, bikini, Brazilian | Strips cleanly at a lower temperature, so less skin reactivity on sensitive areas |
| Aloevera | First-timers, reactive skin | Soothing agents in the formula itself, for anyone who has had a stingy wax elsewhere |
| Honey (natural) | Men’s back and chest, coarse hair | Strongest grip, holds thick hair that lighter waxes slide over |
RICA and aloe hard wax
RICA and Aloevera are hard waxes. They are applied warm, left to set, and then lifted off by hand with no strip — the wax grips the hair rather than the skin, which is why they are used on the face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian. Because the same patch can be re-worked without stripping skin twice, hard wax is what makes an intimate or facial area comfortable enough to do at all.
Honey strip wax
Honey is a strip wax: spread thin, covered with a cloth strip, and pulled away with it. It clears a large area in far fewer passes, which is why it suits backs, chests, legs and arms where there is a lot of ground to cover and the skin is less reactive. It also holds coarse hair that a hard wax can slide over.
The order we wax areas (and why)
If you are booking more than one area in one visit, the sequence is not random. We start with the cleanest, least reactive area and finish with the most sensitive.
- First: legs or arms — large flat areas, easy to map, sets the rhythm.
- Middle: underarms, then bikini if you are having both.
- Last: Brazilian / Hollywood, or any facial waxing. These are the most reactive areas, so doing them last means your skin is settled by the time we wrap.
The 48-hour rule, before and after waxing
Waxing has a 48-hour window on either side of the appointment. Almost nobody in Bangkok publishes it, and it is the single biggest cause of a bad result.
In the 48 hours before
In the 48 hours before a wax, these are the things to stop doing, and each one affects how the wax grips.
- Stop exfoliating. Scrubs and acids thin the surface, and thin skin lifts with the wax.
- Let hair reach about 5mm. Roughly a grain of rice. Do not shave to tidy up first.
- Skip the sunbed and long sun exposure. Waxing over sunburn is not possible, and we will say so rather than do it.
In the 48 hours after
In the 48 hours after a wax, these are the things to avoid while the follicles are still open.
- Avoid pools, sea, sauna and steam. Follicles stay open for around 24 to 48 hours, and chlorinated or sea water is the usual route to spots.
- No gym or heavy sweating for the first 24 hours. Friction plus sweat on open follicles causes most post-wax irritation.
- Loose clothing, no fragrance. Cotton over synthetics, and nothing perfumed on the area.
- Start exfoliating again on day three, gently, to keep ingrown hairs away.

What we need from your room
Booking a treatment into your own space raises a practical question that no salon has to answer: what actually has to be there? Very little, as it turns out.
Space, and how long it takes
We confirm how long your booking will take when we quote it. Setting up and packing away is quick at each end. Here is what the room needs:
- Somewhere to lie down — a bed or a sofa is fine. We bring our own protective cover, so nothing touches your linen.
- Room to stand on one side — roughly an arm’s length. A standard Bangkok hotel room or a studio condo works without moving furniture.
- Hand washing access — a bathroom or a kitchen sink.
- A power socket — the wax heater needs one for the length of the appointment.
Hygiene: what we bring and what we take away
What we bring: couch cover, all three waxes and the heater, disposable applicators, gloves, aftercare gel, and a waste bag. What we take away: every used item, including the applicators and the cover. Nothing goes in your bin.
That is the short version of the hygiene standard. Is home waxing safe is the long one, including the questions worth asking any provider before you book.
Time in the room is confirmed with your quote, so you can plan around it. Hotel guests: we sign in at reception as a visitor for your room number, and we do not discuss the treatment at the desk.
Hairline Waxing
Hairline waxing tidies the fine hair along the forehead and temples, and it is one of the quieter reasons people book us — it changes how a fringe sits and how a hairline photographs, and it takes minutes. It is done as part of a face or brow appointment rather than as a visit of its own.
- What it covers — the forehead edge and the temples, shaped to the line you already have rather than a new one.
- Which wax — RICA, because the skin at the hairline is thin and reactive.
- Booked with — brows, upper lip or a full face, on the same visit.
How a Home Waxing Appointment Runs, Step by Step
A home waxing appointment runs in six steps, from the message on arrival to taking the waste away.
If you are booking several areas at once, the full body wax package is priced as one treatment rather than as a stack. It is quoted as one booking, with the time confirmed before you book. Pairs well with eyebrow threading at home or a facial at your hotel in the same visit.
- Message on arrival rather than ringing the bell, then set up in the room you choose: bed, sofa, or a mat on the floor.
- Lay towels down, heat the wax, and set everything out where you can see it. Spatulas are single-use and the pot is never double-dipped.
- Confirm the areas and the order before starting: large areas first, the most sensitive last.
- Wax in sections, holding the skin taut, checking in between areas.
- Go back over everything for stray hairs, then apply aftercare while the skin is still warm.
- Take the waste away, and explain what to avoid for the next 24 hours.
Where we come to you in Bangkok
We cover all six featured districts and beyond. For our two highest-volume services, these are the most common request patterns:
- Brazilian & Hollywood waxing in Sukhumvit — most of our hotel-guest Brazilian requests land here.
- Brazilian & Hollywood waxing in Asok — the BTS-MRT interchange hotels' go-to for same-day.
- Hotel waxing in Sukhumvit — full-room hotel bookings across the long strip.
- Men’s waxing in Sathorn — evening sessions for office workers in the towers.
Also covered: waxing in Sukhumvit and every other district. For anywhere else, message us with your hotel or address and we confirm coverage and timing.
Book your waxing session
Send the areas you want on WhatsApp and we come back with a full quote and the next available slot, usually within a few minutes. Same-day is normal.
Questions
Before you book
How much is waxing in Bangkok?
It depends on how many areas you book, which wax you choose, and whether it is a single area or a full-body package. Home Visit Beauty quotes the full price before your appointment, and there is no separate call-out or travel charge anywhere inside our Bangkok service area. What moves the figure most is the number of areas rather than which ones, so booking two or three together is better value per area than returning for each separately. Send the list of areas you want on WhatsApp and you get the full number back before anything is confirmed.
What is the 48 hour rule for waxing?
Avoid sun, sunbeds, swimming pools, saunas and heavy exercise for 48 hours after waxing, and skip exfoliating for 48 hours before. Freshly waxed skin has open follicles and reacts badly to heat, chlorine and friction. It matters more in Bangkok, where the humidity does the work for you. The 48 hours before matters as much as the 48 after: exfoliating beforehand thins the surface layer, which makes the wax lift skin rather than only hair. If your beach day or gym session is fixed, work backwards from it when choosing your appointment slot.
Which wax do you use?
You choose on the day. Home Visit Beauty carries RICA, a premium Italian wax for sensitive areas, Aloevera for reactive or first-time skin, and Honey for coarse hair. All three come to every waxing appointment in Bangkok, so you decide once you can see them. If you have no preference, say so and the practitioner will choose based on the area and how your skin looks on the day, which is usually the better outcome. Tell us if a particular wax has reacted badly on you before, because that rules it out immediately.
How long should hair be before waxing?
About a grain of rice, roughly 5mm. Shorter than that and the wax cannot grip the hair; much longer and the removal stings more than it needs to. Keep skin clear of oils, lotions and deodorant on the day of your Bangkok waxing appointment. If you have been shaving, allow two to three weeks of growth before a first wax rather than booking as soon as stubble appears. Do not trim it yourself on the day either, because uneven length is harder to remove cleanly than hair that is simply a little long.
Is home waxing hygienic?
Yes. Every Home Visit Beauty waxing appointment in Bangkok uses a fresh disposable applicator per stroke, with no double dipping, and sanitised tools that are cleaned between clients. We bring our own covered surface and take all used material away with us when we leave. Nothing is reused between clients and nothing is left behind in your room. If you would like to see anything unwrapped in front of you before the appointment starts, ask, because it is a reasonable thing to want and takes a few seconds to show you.
Do you wax men?
Yes. Home Visit Beauty offers a full men’s waxing menu in Bangkok including back, chest, shoulders, legs and male Brazilian, carried out discreetly in your own room. Men’s body hair is usually coarser, so Honey wax is often the better choice for a first appointment. Back and chest are the most commonly booked areas, and they are often done together in one visit because the setup happens once. If it is a first wax, say so when booking and the practitioner will work in smaller sections and take it at a slower pace.
Is Brazilian waxing common in Thailand?
Yes, Brazilian and Hollywood waxing are widely offered across Bangkok and are among the most requested treatments we bring to hotels and condos. If it is your first, say so when you book and we will use RICA and work in smaller sections. The hair needs to be about a grain of rice in length for the wax to grip properly, so resist trimming beforehand. A first appointment is always the sharpest, and the second is noticeably easier, because the hair returns finer and less densely.
Do I need to provide anything for a home appointment?
Almost nothing. Home Visit Beauty brings the couch cover, wax, applicators, aftercare and a waste bag to every Bangkok appointment. You need a room with space to lie down, somewhere to wash hands, and a power socket. A bathroom nearby is helpful but not essential. You do not need to move furniture, provide towels or prepare the room in any way. If the space is unusually tight, a serviced apartment studio for example, mention it when booking and the practitioner will plan the setup around what you have rather than arriving and improvising.
