Bangkok heat, humidity and pollution are hard on skin. Home Visit Beauty is a mobile beauty service bringing a full manual facial to your hotel room or condo: facial clean-up in detail, anti-ageing and brightening treatments, done by hand in your own space.
Clinic facial or therapist facial?
Search for a facial in Bangkok and almost everything you are shown is an aesthetic clinic. That matters, because a clinic facial and a therapist facial are different products at very different prices, and nothing on the results page tells you which one you are looking at.
What a clinic is for
Clinics run device-led treatments: machine-assisted extraction and hydration, chemical peels, light and laser work, injectables. They employ or supervise medical staff and they are the correct choice for active acne, melasma, scarring, or anything you would want a doctor to look at. They are also priced accordingly, and many sell in courses of six or ten.
What we are for
We do the manual facial: cleanse, steam, exfoliate, extract by hand where it helps, mask, massage, finish. It is maintenance and it is relaxation, and for congested-but-healthy skin it is the thing that actually keeps you comfortable between clinic visits, if you have them at all.
If a clinic is what you need, we will say so. We do not treat medical skin conditions and we will not pretend a manual facial substitutes for one.
How much does a facial cost in Bangkok?
A manual therapist facial sits below clinic pricing, and the spread across Bangkok is wide enough to be confusing. Bangkok clinics publish ranges that start around a thousand baht for a targeted treatment and climb into five figures for premium machine work, with most sitting in the middle. A manual therapist facial sits below that band, because you are paying for an hour of skilled hands rather than for equipment amortisation.
What moves the number for us is the treatment length and what goes into it: a 45-minute clean-up and a 60-minute anti-ageing facial with more massage and richer product are not the same job. What does not move it is where you are staying. There is no call-out fee, no hotel surcharge and no minimum spend anywhere inside our Bangkok service area, and there is no course of ten waiting at the end.
Message us on WhatsApp with your skin type and main concern and we send back the treatment we would recommend and the full price.
What Bangkok does to your skin
Most of our facial clients are reacting to this city specifically, and the pattern is consistent enough to plan around: congested but dehydrated at the same time.
- Humidity plus sunscreen plus PM2.5 clogs pores faster than in a cooler, cleaner city. If you are here long term, a clean-up every three to four weeks does more than an occasional luxury treatment.
- Steam softens the surface before extraction, which is the part of the sequence people notice most.
- Air conditioning dehydrates overnight. We finish with a hydrating mask or serum rather than a heavy occlusive cream, so you do not wake up greasy in a cold room.
- Sun straight after a facial is the single most common mistake we see. Stay in for the rest of the day if you can, and wear SPF every morning regardless.
We come to every district, including facials in Sukhumvit.
The sequence, step by step
Whichever facial you book, the rhythm is the same. Knowing it up front means you can relax into each step rather than wondering what is next.
- Cleanse — remove sunscreen, make-up and the day’s grime.
- Steam — to soften the surface and open pores.
- Exfoliate — manual or with the active product for that facial.
- Extract — only where it helps, and skipped entirely on reactive skin.
- Mask and massage — matched to your skin type and the treatment booked.
- Serum and SPF — to finish and protect.
We talk you through each step as we go. If anything stings or feels wrong, say so and we adjust immediately.
Can a facial remove blackheads?
Partly, and the honest version of this answer has a limit in it. Manual extraction after steam lifts out what has already reached the surface, and the difference on congested skin is visible the same day. That part is real.
What a facial does not do is change how much oil your skin produces or how large your pores are. Blackheads come back, because they are a function of sebum meeting air, not of poor cleansing. Anyone promising permanent clearance from a course of treatments is selling a subscription rather than a result. The useful framing is maintenance: regular extraction keeps congestion from compounding, especially in this climate.
On genuinely inflamed or cystic skin we will not extract at all, and we will tell you a clinic is the better call.
The deep-cleansing clean-up, and what it actually does
A clean-up is the shortest useful facial: cleanse, steam or warm compress, extraction of blocked pores, a calming mask, then moisturiser and SPF. Shorter than a full facial, and the time is confirmed with your quote. It is the one to book when the skin is congested rather than dull.
Bangkok skin congests for specific reasons — humidity keeps sweat and sunscreen sitting on the surface, air conditioning dehydrates the layer underneath, and traffic particulates settle into it. That combination blocks pores faster here than in a dry climate, which is why a clean-up every four to six weeks does more for most people than a single expensive treatment twice a year.
Extraction is done with clean pressure and stops when the skin says stop. A practitioner who keeps going past that point leaves marks that outlast the blackhead.
Which facial for which skin
The right facial depends on what your skin is doing rather than on your age. The table pairs skin concern with the treatment that addresses it.
| Facial | Best for |
|---|---|
| Clean-up & mask | Congestion, blackheads, dullness. The reset facial and the usual starting point in Bangkok |
| Anti-ageing | Firmness, fine lines, mature skin. Slower, more massage, richer products |
| Brightening | Uneven tone, fine facial hair, dullness. Patch test first |
Pairs well with body waxing at your hotel or home in the same visit.
What People Warn About Before Booking a Facial Here
Three things come up repeatedly when people compare facials in Bangkok, and they are all worth asking about wherever you book.
- Extractions done too hard. The most common complaint, and the one that leaves marks for days. Extraction should stop when the skin says so, not when the list says so.
- Being sold a course on the first visit. A first facial should tell you what your skin needs, not what package to buy.
- No sun advice afterwards. Bangkok sun on freshly exfoliated skin is the fastest way to undo a facial. Anyone who exfoliates you and says nothing about SPF has left the job half done.
Where We Come to You: Ratchaprasong, Chidlom and Siam
The Ratchaprasong stretch — the hotels and condos around Central World, Chidlom and Siam — is one of the densest parts of our service area, and it is also where arrival time is most predictable. Chidlom is one BTS stop from Siam in one direction and one from Ploenchit in the other, and Siam is the only interchange between the Sukhumvit and Silom lines on the whole network, which is why we quote arrival by station here rather than by distance.
- Chidlom — the condos and hotels either side of Ploenchit Road
- Siam — the fastest district in the city for us to reach
- Pratunam — one stop from the Airport Rail Link terminus, which is why it produces the most same-night bookings from arriving travellers
Leave a day between a facial and eyebrow threading at home, since both exfoliate.

Questions
Before you book
How much is a facial in Bangkok?
It spans a very wide range. Aesthetic clinics in Bangkok commonly run from around a thousand baht into five figures for machine-led treatments, while a manual therapist facial sits well below that. Home Visit Beauty quotes in full on WhatsApp before booking, with no call-out charge inside our service area. What moves the number is the treatment rather than the location, so a clean-up and a full anti-ageing facial differ even though both come to you. Tell us your main concern rather than a treatment name and you will get a recommendation with the figure attached.
What is the best facial treatment in Bangkok?
There is no single best one, and any page claiming otherwise is selling something. The right facial depends on whether your main issue is congestion, dryness, dullness or ageing. Tell us your skin type and current concern and we will recommend one, including saying if a clinic suits you better. Skin also changes with the season here, so the right answer in the wet months is not always the right one in the dry. If you have had a facial recently and it did not suit you, saying what went wrong is more useful than saying what you want.
Can a facial remove blackheads?
Partly, and it is worth being straight about the limit. Manual extraction after steam clears what has reached the surface, which visibly improves congestion. It does not shrink pores or stop blackheads returning, because that is oil production. Expect improvement and maintenance rather than a permanent fix. What genuinely helps between appointments is a gentle exfoliant a couple of times a week and not squeezing at home, since pressure damages the surrounding tissue and leaves marks that outlast the blackhead. Regular cleanups keep congestion from building rather than clearing it repeatedly from scratch.
Are facials available at my hotel?
Yes. Home Visit Beauty brings everything for a full facial to your hotel room, condo or home anywhere in Bangkok, including the couch cover, steamer and products. You pick the time rather than working around a salon diary, and nothing needs providing at your end. A bed or a couch and somewhere to wash hands is the whole requirement. Hotel rooms work without moving furniture, and if the room is unusually small it is worth mentioning at booking so the setup is planned rather than improvised on arrival.
Which facial should I choose?
Clean-up for congestion and blackheads, anti-ageing for firmness and fine lines, brightening for uneven tone and dullness. If you are new to facials in Bangkok, start with a clean-up: it addresses what the climate here actually does to skin, and it tells us how your skin reacts. That first appointment doubles as an assessment, so the practitioner can recommend something more specific next time based on what they saw rather than what you described. Nobody should be committing to a course of treatments before anyone has looked at the skin properly.
How often should I have a facial in Bangkok?
More often than you would in a cooler, drier city. Humidity, sunscreen and PM2.5 congest skin faster here, so every three to four weeks suits most people staying long term. Hotel guests on a short trip usually get more from one well-timed facial than from a rushed course. If you are here for a week, book it early rather than the day before you fly, so any extraction has time to settle and you see the result while you are still on the trip. Booking it as the last thing before a flight is the common mistake.
Do you offer HydraFacial or machine treatments?
No. Home Visit Beauty provides manual facials only, using hands, steam and products rather than devices. HydraFacial and similar machine treatments are clinic services and we will not pretend otherwise. If that is specifically what you want, a Bangkok clinic is the right call. Saying so costs us the booking and saves you a wasted appointment, which is the better trade. What manual work does well is congestion, hydration and circulation, and for a lot of skin in this climate that is exactly what is needed rather than a device.
Can I have a facial the same day as waxing or threading?
Not on the same area, and preferably not the same day for facial hair removal. Both exfoliate the skin, and stacking them causes irritation. Body waxing plus a facial in one Bangkok visit is fine. Facial threading is better left a day either side. If you are trying to fit both into a short trip, do the facial first and the facial hair removal a day or two later, since waxed or threaded skin is more reactive to steam and product than the other way round. Say what you want and the order can be planned.
